2016-17 was a busy year for me, filled with lots of wonderful music! Highlights of the 2016-17 season included many wedding and special event gigs with Triangle String Quartet and Arioso Strings, several education concerts with the North Carolina Symphony, and several wonderful church gigs. Some of my favorite performances this year included:

  • August 4, 2016 — Athena Quintet performance featuring the Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34 by Johannes Brahms at McGlothlin Center for the Arts at Emory & Henry College in Emory, VA
  • September 16 and 18, 2016 — NC Opera performances of Wagner’s Das Rheingold
  • October 30, 2016 — NC Symphony performance of a Halloween/Star Wars set in Wilmington, NC
  • December 10 and 11, 2016 — Choral Society of Durham and Orchestra Pro Cantores, performance of Britten’s “St. Nicholas”
  • January 20 and 21, 2017 — NC Symphony’s “Star Trek Spectacular”
  • February 25 and 26, and March 2, 3, and 5, 2017 — NC Opera’s performance of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro
  • March 19, 2017 — St. Michael’s Episcopal Church Adult Choir, performance of Jehan Alain’s mass accompanied by string quartet and flute
  • April 28 and 30, 2017 — NC Opera performance of Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers
  • May 7, 2017 — Hudson Creates; a concert featuring music of Philip Hayden and other composers, in celebration of Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church’s 60th anniversary
